Fixed-depth CTDs
Eight SBE-37 CTDs are clamped to the mooring wire at discrete depths between 600 and 4400 m. These instruments measure temperature, salinity, and pressure every 2 minutes. From these measurements, estimates of steric height are calculated. Data from the upper four instruments are telemetered to shore in near-real time.
Fig. 1. Time-series plots
Time series of T, S, p, and derived steric height from the fixed-depth SBE-37 CTDs. By default the last 24 hr are displayed; to adjust the time period, select an interval at the top-left or click and drag to zoom.
