A Mini-Mooring, with a simple sensor to monitor temperature and salinity, was deployed on the east side of Puttalam Lagoon by NARA staff on 10 April 2018, and telemetered data and positions every two hours via Iridium satellite. The salinity variations are of interest to aquaculture in the lagoon.
